my 94 eclipse does not like to idle when it is cold, it seems as soon as put it in neutral and let off the clutch, the rpm's drop and it dies...



Also... at constant speed it misfires, tried replacing plugs and wires, checked coil, any ideas?

 

could be a bunch of things, I am not a 4g63 guy but check your iac.

 

sounds like maybe a fuel problem. Or maybe a Mass air problem. I would check either or those.

 

Sounds like fuel pressure problems, either from the fuel filter being clogged, or the pressure regulator not fuctioning properly. Try the fuel filter first with some b12 or some lucas. If that doesn't work, have the fuel pressure tested and replace the regulator or pump, whichever is bad.

 

If the engine is cold an it does not want to run but will run fine when it is warm then the most likely cause is the automatic choke.
