Default 2 new tires or 4 for AWD?

Our '95 Eclipse GSX just failed inspection because of worn tires. Here's the thing, they said we only need to replace the front 2. I'm pretty sure you are always supposed to put 4 new tires on an AWD car, but we're only planning to drive this car another year and then sell it. It gets driven a very limited amount.

Just change all 4 with nothing special. More than likely you will end up replacing the other two anyways.

I would just replace all four. Ussually you get a good deal at places when you do all four of them like free alignment. Also the way i ussually do it is go online to either www.tirerack.com and www.discounttiredirect.com and find the cheapest price on the tires you when then bring it to tire places and see if they will price match.

Thanks. I do have to order online because I'm on a military base overseas (shipping costs are brutal!). Here's what www.tirerack.comgives me:

Am I okay with the Fuzion VRi? Thanks again.

Anything w/ awd you always want toall 4 tires. If u do 2 new tires , then you'll have 2 sets of tires rotating at different speeds. This is bad for the diff.
