Default 2001 Spyder..front end problems

Hello,
I have a 2001 Spyder with 66000 miles. I bought it used and my front end is shaking quite a bit. I have a friend that has an Eclipse the same year and more miles 77000 miles and his drives smoothly. Did the person that owned the car before me trash the front end or do SPyders have more problems? Anyone know?? Thx!

i would take it and have the tires check for balance first. if they are ok,then start checking wheel bearings.

I guess I should have mentioned that I bought new tires a few months ago and it didnt fix the problem. So bearings are known to go out. I was wondering about front end issues... shocks, tie rods, etc...maybe they are known for something in particular....????
