Default 2002 axiom v6 starts and dies

2002 axiom will start fine in the morning but if you go to the store for about 15 minutes and then start it it will start and die the first time and on the second time it will start and run. If you let it sit two hours or more it will start on the first time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We are having a similar problem with a 2001 Galant 2.4. It has gone from bad to worse!

Starts fine when cold, but once it gets warm ( 1.5 miles ) if you shut it down, it starts, idles, dies. Once cooled down it will start and run fine.

I am currently looking for a safety cut off, like an oil pressure sender, that won't allow the car to run for more than a few seconds if a damaging situation exists. If i find anything I'll let you know.

Check the simple things first. They often elude us. Such as do you have a clogged/bad vent hole etc on your fuel cap. Think of sucking on a straw with your finger on the other end. The fuel system needs a certain amount of air flow to replace the gas being drawn from the tank. Prolly not your problems(s) but an easy way to check it would be to remove and replace the fuel cap before trying to start it after it's warmed up.
