I just bought a 1993 Montero SR so I'd have a 4x4 to get me through the winter. I wasn't able to properly test drive it because the rear shocks were totally gone. I just put new rear shocks on it and now I've noticed a few problems that I may need help with.

1. There is a "clunking" noise in the rear passenger-side when I go over bumps.
2. The suspension seems very unstable. Anytime I go over bumps or uneven surfaces there is significant body roll.

Does anybody have any ideas on what the nature of these problems could be? Thanks for your help!
