Default Altenator

i have been having problems with the altenator since day 1 . heres the deal they changed the altenator and the battery light would come on everytime i punched the car so they changed the regulator to give the car more power when i punched it, but after about 2 days the regulator burned up. So they when to the dealership and put a stock regulator on the car and today i was driving the battery light didnt come on or anything but the car died because it ran out of juice. my question is what could it be that keeps burning up the regulators? and does has anyone else had this problem.?

You might need to do a few voltage drop tests on the cables from the battery to the alternator to check the cables integrity as well as the grounds. So long as 1 strand of wire is connected in a large cable- it may still show system voltage, however, the 1 strand won't do much as far as passing current. Check the wiring.
