brake problems
i own an 02 Mitsubishi Lancer.
whenever i slightly hit the brake, i hear a clicking and grinding noise...i took it to the Midas and said something about rotor and i took it to other local dealer and said something about the spring inside the brake.
what may cause the car to make that clicking and grinding noise?

RE: brake problems
but it only vibrates if its like warped or bent, ive been there done that, scratched the hell of some rotors, and they didnt vibrate, god, you should have seen them, they had two paralel lines engraved in them, haha it was so awesome, i miss the ol days when i didnt care about cars...

RE: brake problems
i took it to Midas and they said it's 60% good.
so it must be the rotor?
they said something inside the brake's spring is leaking...but i took it to diff. mechanic and they didn't say anything about leaking.
so the grinding and clicking noise is cuz of the rotor?

RE: brake problems
yes it can be the rotor. if someobody wares down the pads on their car to the point of metal on metal for a long time it will damage your rotors, whether it son the front or rear but if you don't replace the scratched up rotors you can still hear some noise and it can feel like grinding. oem replacement rotors aret to expensive at all... prolly 25-35 bucks each.
