I recently had an issue similar to yours on my 2000 montero sport,
-Changed both output/input speed sensors and solved my issues, as my N was blinking to all problems gone.

I am also having the same issue. After replacing my starter my car would jerk when placed in reverse. I also noticed a slow acceleration. How can I get my Galant back to normal?
