Car won't start
Hi everyone,
I have 2005 Mitsubishi Triton 4g64 engine that won't start.
The engine turns over but no spark at the the coil. I have replaced the ignition coil, ignition module, crank angle sensor and replaced the battery. Any ideas?
Could it be the immobilizer? Anyone know where it is located on a Triton?
Cheers,
Bruce.

Okay, you say you have no spark at the coil, and I have to ask how did you determine that? Did you mean to say at the plugs you did not have any spark? Were your plugs wet when yhou pulled them after trying to start it?
If they were dry, then you have a fuel delivery issue and if they are wet, then you have a ignition issue. What are the troubleshooting steps for your vehicle for these two conditions.... you do have a good (an expensive Mitsu)repaiir manual for it, correcty?

There is no spark at the plugs, but to eliminate plug leads, distributor and coil lead I went back as far as the coil. Have since noticed that the enginge check light does not come on with the ignition lights anymore. hence the question about the immobilizer.
Thanks,
Bruce.

OH...the immobilizer......those are a pain so I hear. I do not have any experience with that. The CEL may be burned out, or it may be a indication of the immobilizer system....don't know. Hope someone else can help you.
Do a lot of searching on the web for this, you may get lucky and find something. Good luck.
