Diamante won't start

Diamante won't start
I recently purchase a japanese replacement engine for my 1995 Diamante LS DOHC that only has about 45,000 mls. I installed the new engine, replaced timing belts and switched manifold, bought brand new plugs and wires. The new engine spins but won't crank. I've also tried switching the sensors but it's still won't start. Need Help?

RE: Diamante won't start
smccant1,
My condolences. I had something very similar to your delima several years back. I'd replaced the timing belt on a V6 Mitsubishi engine and she wouldn't start. I had reassembled her with the cam shafts one notch out of time. This is easy enough to check without removing the timing belt cover. Simple have someone turn her over while you've got your hand over the air intake. If you don't feel as strong a vacuum as should be there, the cams/crank may be slightly off; just enough that she won't start.
Do you have fire?
If so, have you tried ether in the air intake? What happened?
Good luck
