I own an '03 Montero Ltd and am getting ready to change the trans fluid. One dealer told me to ONLY use Mitsubishi Brand fluid, as it supposedly has some additives that other Diamond III fluids do not have. Another dealer I called said this is not true (I agree). Isn't Diamond III, Diamond III, just as Dextron III is Dextron III. What gives?

BSBSBSBSBSBSBSBSBS... FLuid is fluid as long as the additive pack is the same or at least similar. Diamond III should work fine. Id take dealer 2's advice.
