Just replaced the left taillight assembly on my 2007 Eclipse GS, and now the dash lights come on when I apply the brakes. The new assembly is an OEM part with attached wiring harness so I just swapped it out with the old one. Did not have this problem with the old taillight assembly, just a bad brake light. Also, it looks like the brake lights do not get brighter when the pedal is applied and the right brake light is brighter than the left. Please help.

 

Problem fixed. The new taillight assembly came with a wrong bulb for one of the slots so I switched out the new wiring harness with the old and everything's good to go.
