Default Eclipse Not starting

I bought the 94 eclipse 1.8liter and it diddnt start and the people didnt want to mess with it, there is no spark coming out of the wires, you can smell gas but wo'nt start, would it be the coil not getting electric to the plugs? I'm sure it needs new plugs cause it has been flooded i'm geussing and new wires to boot but does it sound like a coil?

sounds like it possibly. There are ways to check a coil with a ohm/volmeter. I suggest you buy a haynes or Chilton manual and give it a go and post the results back here. good luck

Check the output from the coil. check your plugs and wires are all good.
