Default ECU

I have found a parts car that I'm interested in buying. It's about a 91-92. It's a manual however and mine's an AT. The body on it is in very good condition. The problem is that the timing belt broke and screwed over the block and some pistons, etc. But like I said, the main things I'm looking at are parts off of it.

Here's the question.

Concerning the ECU, is there going to be any problem is it comes off of a MT car when mines an AT car?

I'm new at all of this car stuff, so sorry if this is a pretty common sense question.

It's just my ECU might be headed south, because my dad and I did a ton of diagnositc work on it and couldn't find anything. The only problems we didn't try to solve were those tests involving an oscillispoce (sp). Any ideas or comments would be appreciated.

Default RE: ECU

You're gonna need to get the Mitsu part numbers off of both ECMs and compare them.

Did you check out -

Vfaq.com

They have a faq. about ECM repair. I tried it and it works. Turns out all these ECM's fail the same way.
Vfaq.com then "DSM Modifiactions" then "Electrical"
