Engine Swap 2.4L w/a 2.0L
I maybe purchasing a Eagle Talon TSI with a turbo for $300, what a steal, the engine seized up. I have a question though.
I have a totaled 96 mitsubishi galant es with a 2.4L 4g64 l4, the trans is an auto f4a23.
The talon has an auto W5M33 I believe, if not that then a W4A33, with the 4g63t engine.
Would it be possible to swap the engines? Would the galant engine fit with the talon trans? I have been looking all night and found somethings for it. Like this:
Below I have some specs of the trans and the engine together
Engine- 4G64- 2.4L - AWD
Trans code- W5M33 -From 1993 models vehicles built to July 1994 (Expo LVR only)
1st- 3.083
2nd- 1.684
3rd- 1.115
4th- 0.833
5th- 0.666
Reverse- 3.166
(Reduction Ratio)
Primary- 1.275
Front Diff- 3.866
Transfer- 1.090
Speedo gear ratio- 28/36
Engine- 4G64- 2.4L - AWD
Trans code- W5M33 -Vehicles built from Aug. 1994 (Expo LVR only)
1st- 3.083
2nd- 1.684
3rd- 1.115
4th- 0.833
5th- 0.666
Reverse- 3.166
(Reduction Ratio)
Primary- 1.275
Front Diff- 3.800
Transfer- 1.075
Speedo gear ratio- 28/36
I'm really hoping here.
Please let me know your professional opinion.
