I want to beef up my 4g64 to something with more hp, WITHOUT selling my car or trading for another. I have looked at turbo kits and engine swaps and read some of the posts. What is the best bang for my buck - a swap to a 6g72?

 

your best bet is to work with what you got. You have one of the better engine to TC. And im assuming you have a 3g. There are a couple good turbo kits you can get for that car as well as a great engine to work with to build up. Just do your research first.

A swap is definetly the worst thing to do.

 

If you have a 3G which I will also assume you do. Then you have a motor that in factory state can handle upwards of 15PSI and make around 300-320WHP without doing any internal work. You can also swap an Evo8 Head on somewhat easily and make even more power. a 4g64 is basically a 4g63 with a stroker kit, the internals are not as strong as a built motor obviously but you can still make a very powerful machine with what you have. If you built that motor up and swapped an Evo head on you could make huge power
