evo camshafts

does anyone know if evo viii camshafts would work on a 97gst

My first assumption would be no. I think the evo head is a bit taller than the GST as well as the valve cover and id assume the lift may be too large for it. Also im not so sure the timing is gonna be the same on them. Your better off just buying ones that are made for the car. But you really dont need cams unless you plan on upgrading the turbo and need the extra duration

thanks for the info. as for the turbo I do have a 50 trim turbo from slowboy racing.

You should try doing a search b/c this question comes up alot abt evo vlll parts fitting on 1gens or 2gens.
