use some 220 paper to get it off then fine it out with 320 paper then hand sand it with 400 paper then if you feel like it wet sand it with 600 paper which will make the paint turn out alot smoother

Whoa their killer, 220 is a bit too ruff for just removing clear coat, I would use a 360 or 380 and then wet sand her out before you spray anything. When you sand a car and dont wet sand when you re paint(expecially clear coat) its like having eagel eyes, every little line that the paper makes will stick out in a bad way.

well all i want is the clear coat off. the top of my car looks like crap cause of sun damage from the person before me. so all i am gonna do is take the clear coat off and throw another layer on there.
