Default Hard shifting

ok guys and the three girls out there i got a 98 eclipse gst and last week i had the manuel tranny gear oil changed. My question is would that and 18 degree weather make my tranny hard to shift? it only started after the change and sometimes when the car is cold it wont go in any gear unless i pump the clutch about five times, but after driving it it shifts fine. is this just cause the cold temps and the new oil? also what would cause the tranny to shift itself outta first and into nuetral while driving in first? its happened a couplea times but i dont know much about the five speed. any awnsers would be great help!

I was going to ask how old the oil was... guess thats not the problem. My clutch went out in the cold, ended up being the slave cylinder.

Shifting out of 1st while driving sounds like something inside isnt gripping right. you can usually pull a stick out of first into neutral without pressing the clutch.

I hate to say it, but I think professional help or some time with a haynes manual might help.

Well found out why it wont shift right... had to bleed the clutch system cause the resivoir was empty... that sucked doing it in the snow.... but it had to be done!
