Default Tranny shifting hard in O/D

2002 Diamante shifting hard in overdrive at times. Clunks when switching gears (O/D) 74,000 miles. How do you check and or change the fluid in the transmission? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Yup, sounds like it's time for a fluid change. You have an automatic, so there should be a dip stick for the tranny. I would recommend the use of stock fluids also, since auto trannys are picky because of clearances. I wouldn't use autozone, napa, or the likes...only stock. That's my view though and my suggestion
