Are head gasket sealers any good?
I took my 2010 3.0 outlander for its regular service, I recently purchased this vehicle so I know nothing about it. While changing spark plugs, my mechanic noticed oil in them and told me that I needed to change Head cover gaskets and engine intake manifold gaskets since there was a leak in them. Where I live it takes about a week o more to get the parts delivered and labor is a bit pricy and takes a while, so I looked at some alternative options to take care of that.
I saw that the Lucas Engine Stop leak and rislone sealers are good options to seal the leaks, but I'm a bit hesitant about them. Have any of you used these products? Would you recommend them over the conventional fix?
