My engine light came on listing p0301 as the issue cylinder 1 misfire.
SO far i have : replaced the plugs wires and gaskets.

didnt work .. engine light came on with same erroe a few days later

ran fuel cleaner and replaced the fuel filter and the battery

came on again

had throttle plate and throttle core cleaned.

came on again.

not sure what to try next.

seems to run ok.. a little jerky when i get up over 60mph. BUT im at wits end!!

u can tell alot form the spark plug. the cylinder that is calling for the misfire, take that spark plug out and see if it looks white and ashy, or black and burnt, or clean.

if it white and ashy then ur lean

if its black and burnt the ur rich

if it is clean (like it is new) then u r not getting fuel.

i bet it is an injector

the way i check injectors is switch the injector to a different cylinder, clear the code, start it and see if it is calling the same code but on a different cylinder.

well i replaced the spark plugs on the first go around about 2 weeks ago. so i am hoping they still look new

Try a compression test. Rule that out first and go from there.

It'll tell you what condition that cylinder is in.
