IAT code
Have a 1992 eclipse 1.8 Keep getting a intake air temp code, checked the sensor out and it appears to be in line with what the book says it should be. The resistance goes down as the intake air goes up. Any ideas? The car seems a little sluggish

RE: IAT code
To measure input voltage you would need to know which pin was the input voltage. I think? you could use your multimeter(MM) to ground to test either pin to see which is the line voltage and which is the return signal voltage. You would also need to know what the proper line voltage was supposed to be. I had assumed from your 1st post that you knew what the values were. The IAT may be changing (R) but it may not be changing it correctly. If the intake air temp is not being measured properly you could get a lean/rich mixture which could account for the running problems. Are you also getting an Oxy Sensor code? If the mixture is wrong the Oxy sensor may also tell you. I once had a code that said TPS problem. I tested the TPS according to the factory manual, it checked ok so I looked elsewhere for a long time. I finally just replaced the TPS and the problem was instantly corrected.
