If your good, I need HELP BADLY
Sounds like your going to have to, like what slow420a mentioned.....go threw the entire harness to find the short, thats the only thing I can think of, with it being so intermittent. Sometimes with age the wires insulation becomes very brittle and starts to come off and show bare wire, which could be shorting out your system. I hate electrical problems, you might have to find a expert on this matter if you cant find any bad wires....sorry I couldn't help much, good luck.

wait if he has voltage at the coil but it gets not spark still wounldnt that be enough to think the problem is between the coil\wire and plug? and not the ECU or harness wireing?

No because the cam sensor tells the computer where ever thing is at the time, then the computer takes that and tells the coil when and where to put spark. So if he has voltage at the coil then that is tell you that it is a problem with the communication.

DAYUMMM...looking forward to doing this...lol
seriously guys, where do i start? Any certain colore wires that make the communication between ecu and coil? Must be certain ones that tell it when and what to fire, any clue what colors they are?
Thanks

ok problem solved. It wasnt any one single wire but the whole middle plug isnt seating in tight.
We tested everything yesterday then we were about to quit when we tried it once more, moved the ecu and boom, all four were firing...as it idled if i touched the middle plug on the ecu it would only run on 2 cylinders. Apparently these connections are very sensitive, I need to find away now to make sure this plug seats in there right and this doesnt happen again.
Thanks for all your time and help guys

I don't know if this has already been covered, but just because you buy a new part doesn't mean its good off of the shelf. If there was a harness short, neither of the coils would be working at all ever. And you would have a blown fusible link. Hope this helps if you haven't fingered it out already.
