I just purchased a used 2003 Lancer from a friend. He said the blower motor was busted because the condensation system had been clogged. I just replaced the blower motor this evening and the blower control still only turns on the fan on setting 4.

It seems unlikely that it was actually the blower motor. The connector to the motor looked fine. My dad thinks it's actually the fan ****, but I don't know.

Any ideas? Does this sound like a mechanical or electrical problem?
