Mitsubishi L200 oil leak
Greetings everybody,
I'm a new proud owner of a Mitsubishi L200 K74T (74kw/100cv) Double Cab from 1999. Laugh at it if you want, but this is actually my dream car
Also it is actually my first owned car, so excuse all the ignorance regarding even basic maintenance, but hey, a guy gotta start somewhere!
So when "messing around" with the oil maintenance, I noticed that the level was low when I bought it, so I added 3L of engine oil to the truck. No problems here.
3 months later (2 days ago), I decided to add more in order to fill it until MAX. Now either I read wrong the dipstick, but now the truck started leaking oil from the left front side, just a above the wheel.
Some people said that I overfilled the engine with oil, others say it started leaking because of the use of synthetic oil on an older vehicle. I'm clueless here.
I'm afraid that with this I already damaged some engine parts/components.
Feel free to ask any additional information about the truck or my actions in order to facilitate the troubleshooting.
Thanks!
