Default OBD PO456 & PO135

Hi, new to this forum, great resource here!
I have a 2003 eclipse which is showing fault codes PO135 and PO 456 (front O2 sensor and evap emisions small leak). Before I start attacking the car with wrenches, is there anything I should be looking for? Could the two faults be related? I looked under the hood and the front O2 sensor looks easy to change, but I don't want to change itif this fault is being flagged by the other fault.
For an evap leak, do I need to check all the hoses for leaks or loose connections? I am not even sure where the evap canister is located??
Thanks for any help

I doubt they are related, replace that 02 sensor and make sure the gas cap is fully seated.

That code is listed as Bank 1 sensor 1. Probably the first one. I would just replace it and hopefully that will get rid of both

An o2 sensor will not cause an evap code. Since p0442 is a small evap leak dont worry abt it now, just replace the o2 sensor and clear the code and see if the cel comes back on.

Thanks for the replies. I will change the O2 sensor this weekend and see what happens.
