OD problem

On a 1990 mitsubishi eclipse gs when od is engaged car will shift into every gear ecept for overdrive. Could this be something simple to fix this problem or I'll need to rebuild or replaced tranmission.

does it not shift from 3rd to 4th? or does it seem to go into nuetral?

then you have a failed end clutch assembly.
its not necessary to remove or rebuild the entire trans to repair that problem.
find someone that knows mitsu trannies and have them repair it.
