i wanted to paint my middle tail light on my 99 eclipse. i already took the letters off. the car is a burgandy so ill have to get some paint to match it. i was wonder what else i should get. a clear coating? some polish and what not? anyone that has done this can give me some pointers please

 

are you using spray paint?

 

i dont know what ever i find at autozone or what someone suggest

 

i would suggest not doing it. but if you do, make sure you tape off what you dont want painted and spray about 6 inches + away from the part. then use some kind of clear coat. if you get too close it will look like you done it in five mins. and i suppose if you dont like it you can get mineral spirits or thinner and clean it off. god speed.
