Default Previous owner mistakes - can they be fixed?

Hi all,
Just bought a 1996 3000GT non turbo. Car was starting fine but the previous owner arranged for the ABS sensors to be replaced on my behalf. The reason for all this was the car filed it's MOT as ABS sensor lights were showing as on, on the dash.
What he actually did was rewired the ABS wire to the battery connector (all behind the clocks). So since the dash has been rewired and refitted the car cranks over but will not start.
I would appreciate some advice please.
Thank you.
Maggie
