problem with Ralliart 2007 - check engine light
Hello and good morning
since 1 year ago, that I have my car, a 2007 ralliart. I've been experiencing a random issue with the car.
It can pass several months without the issue appearing. and when it happens it happens 1 or 2 times and then it doesnt shows for a couple of months.
The issue is Im driving normally, either driving automatic or shiftronic, and then when Im accelerating, the car looses power, stays in 2 cylinders and the only way to get rid of this is to turn the car complete off and start it again and then the check engine lights goes off and the problem dissapears.
so far we have changed the following parts
- spark plug cables
- crank position sensor
- Camshaft position sensor
- spark plugs
when the car has the issue, we plug an ODBii reader and it doesnt shows anything on it.
anyone can point on the right direction or has any ideas ??
thanks

i'm assuming you mean 2 /second gear, rather than 2 cylinders?
auto gearboxes are horrible. horrible.
g'box solenoid, torque converter, random electrical problem, computer, blown fuses, maybe it just doesn't like you?, find some gravel roads and take if for a thrash every now and then.

nope ..... I mean 2 cylinders......
thats what we notice the last time it was at the repair shop.
2 cylinders still working and 2 cylinders are not working
it I turn off the car and turn it back again it works fine, and the check engine light goes off and also the problem
the complete details are
Im driving normally, when Im accelerating all the way. the car looses power, and stays in 2 cylinders (the check engine light goes on). it doesnt turn off or anything. it just looses power, a couple of times when the problem happened I went to the repair shop and the mechanic told me that 2 cylinders are not running, we turn the car off and then turn it back on and it works fine
