The fuel pump is ceased. When pumps run dry.. thats what happens.

Lesson learned : )

Just to make sure... have someone put their ear to the gas tank.. (or close) when turning the key to the on position. You should hear the fuel pump prime. It should sound like a high pitched hum and only for about a second.

No fuel pumps are pretty cheap. The cost is going to come from having a dealer do it.

Ceased = locked up..... so yes its dead lol

But do what i mentioned up there just to make sure ^^^

fuel pumps do not fail if you run out of gas. thats an ancient myth.

sounds like you probably dont have enough gas in the tank.

Manybrews i have to dissagree on this one. Fuel pumps to cease when they run dry for too long... and the more reserve it has in the lines then the more it will be running dry.
