I'm interested in improving my 96 Eclipse RS with both looks and performance. I believe its a stock engine. The restrictions are: I don't know much about cars, I'm fairly mechanical but don't have many tools. The other problems is that I use my car for work so it has to be completed within a few hours or a weekend max. Also it has to be fairly inexpensive, I'll willing to make bigger part purchses but it woukd have to be over time. Any suggestions, if so, what brands do you also recommend.

 

dont bother with performance any further than like an intake then. And maybe look into lowering the car with some springs and struts. Please do a search as well because for the basics this stuff has been discussed (IE the springs setup)
