Strange issue with Lancer performance
Hi,
I am new to this forum as i have just purchased a 1998 model Lancer 1.8L GLXi Sedan.
Since i bought the car i have had an issue when i'm driving where the car would all of a sudden hesitate for half a second and then go back to normal. When this happens the engine light on the dash lights up for 5-10 seconds then switches off. The hesitiation is as if the car loses all its power like its about to stall for half a second. It can happen at any time there is no particular point in my drive where it does this. I took it to 1 mechanic and 1 auto electrician and both of them connected their diognostics device to find absolutely no problem codes and no unusual activity in the vehicle.
Can anybody help or offer some suggestions.
Regards

Take it to a dealer, they can pull codes that are't found with a generic obdII scanner. They aslo can retrive freeze frame data when the light was on and what conditions the car was in at the time the light was on.
