Hello, I have a 2006 mitsubishi galant with a stuck egr valve, and the car will crank but not fire. Could a stuck egr valve mess with the car's ecu to cause it not to fire? I cannot get the spark plugs to spark either

check your timing belt

 

thankyou, i checked the timing belt and it appears tight and is turning the cams, hopefully the egr vavle gets here soon and I'll post and update, thanks

Yes I need to look into how to check if they line up, thanks.

I received the new egr valve today, installed it and the car started right up. I guess the computer would not allow me to start the car since the egr valve is also connected to the computer.
