Hello everyone,

I am looking to buy a used 2012 Ralliart for my son’s first vehicle. I have found one on marketplace that has the following symptoms:

“lever moves and you can physically hear the transmission moving, but the dash no longer displays park reverse neutral or drive so that's why I believe it is just a communication error or something of that kind between the vehicle and the transmission. I've looked it up online and people say when the TCM is shot it has symptoms like this but I haven't looked at it too much so it may be something smaller then that”

Thoughts about this? We are fairly mechanical (not change tranny mechanical, but can do a fair amount ourselves)
