I have a 2013 Lancer ES with a manual transmission and I put about 25k miles on it so figured it would be a good idea to replace the air filter. Anyways I went down to autozone and picked up what should be the correct air filter for my car but it didn't fit so I returned it and started doing some research and it seems like the only place I can find any information on the air filter is on Chinese and Russian websites selling wholesale filters...

Decided to take it down to the dealership and the guy in the parts department looked like he never seen the filter before so he took it in the back and I overheard the employees saying they have no idea what filter it is before the manager came in and told them to lower their voice. Eventually the manager came back and told me they can order the filter for $35 and to call at the end of the week to see if they have it.

Whats going on here?? Why does it seem like my car has some rare hard to find air filter? Does anyone else have this filter? Here are some pictures of the filter and air filter housing (I also couldn't find any information on the air housing part number).
