vehicle will not stay running

Default vehicle will not stay running

I just change the alternator on my 3000gt and now it will not stay running at idle. also do you know a way for me to get the code to turn my music back on.

if you contact a dealership with the VIN, they may be able to help you...i was unaware that 3kgt had a security radio code??

did you touch anything other than the alternator? have you tried hooking a battery charger to it, and seeing if that helps?

why did you change the alternator? are you sure that it was bad?

yes the alternator was shot i took my lady to a shop and had it tested, also someone at advance auto told me i had to keep it running for five minutes at 2000 rpm in order for the computer to reset. never heard that befor any ideals

ive never heard of the 2k rpm thing. after you reset the ecu its a good idea to let it sit and idle for 5 minutes or so, but if its not able to idle on its own you probably have a vacuum/intake leak and id look around.
