its not a hard concept really. the car isnt getting the amount of air it was expecting. think about it like this say "I" is the intake "M" where you are measureing the air flow "E" is for the engine and "B" is the open BOV then what it would look like is I..M.........B...E if you lose some air a "B" and "E" doesnt know, it still thinks it is there when its not so fuel is added for the air it is expecting when the lost air never shows up there ends up being way to much fuel added and it ends up rich, in my car it gets so rich that behind the car your eyes will burn a bit. in a car that uses MAP it goes I.......B..M..E so it measure the air after the BOV so the motor is getting exactly what it is taking in and doesnt lose anything

if that makes sence lol it is easier to me to see it but not sure it is for others

Emonz, there is no MAS anywhere between the turbo, and the throttle body, which would lead me to believe that it does not use one. My stratus with a 6g72 has the MAS in the middle of my CAI, and if im not mistaken, yours is similar to mine, with the black box?

also, i have seen Plenty of daytonas running Atmospheric BOVs, and some of them are pretty quick, with very little done, such as not Cat, performance ECU, bigger TB, etc.

well the MAS on a turbo car is between the filter and turbo yes it looks identicle to the stratus same shape black box here is how it looks on a turbo car of course you can see the upper IC pipe isnt connected to the MAS at all just the turbo and air filter. in the daytona the turbo is in back i think right? so yould need to see if its there I think they may use MAP so venting a BOV will pose as no problem at all
