Default horrible looking body kits

im ready to put a body kit on my galant but i always see civics and other cars with body kits hanging off n jus making the car look terrible is that because they dont bondo it on or do they jus start falling apart after awhile?

No, the owner probably hit too many curbs.

Bondo is not so important on a body kit.

It's essential if you're adding a cowl intake to a stock hood but not so much on a body kit. Bumpers, hoods, trunks quarter-panels/fenders, etc. are bolt-ons: usually so no Bondo is needed. Skirts usually don't need Bondo although the adhesive that comes with some sucks and should be replaced. Skirts that screw-on are much better.

In general, you get what you pay for... if you find a kit and say to yourself "Wow, I'm so lucky to have found this great looking kit at this price... I'd better buy it before someone else does" then you're better off taking a pass on it. It's probably cheap fiberglass, cranked out by an amateur shop, to cater to "budget minded" tuners (read ricers).

Check the company you're planning on buying from... how long have they been in business... what kind of reviews do they get 5 years later... etc.
