yeah i used engine paint..i think i just need to use more clear coat next time..cuz i was reading another topic about painting and the guy said he used clear coat till the was like a white shine and i didn't see anything like that

you use enough clear to give it a glaze look, then you sand it again, buff it and there ya go.

The white shine was too much clear not properly done. You are going to want to scuff up your valve cover after removing all the paint, dirt, grease, grim or whatever is on there.Paint it.You need to use stuff that can get hot in the engine bay. I have no idea how clear coat holds up in an engine bay I have never done that one. The best thing to do is to powder coat it. Just dont over bake it and warp it.
