Hi, I've just bought a 2001 lancer glxi. It was owned by an old couple so as you can imagine the stereo was fairly poor to say the least.
I changed the stereo and also fitted an amp, this was working fine but before I finished I was called away and had to go out.
When I went out I stopped at the end of the road, the revs dropped right down and my car stalled. I restarted and further down the road it happened again. I won't go into more details but this keeps happening. It's fine when it runs but when I stop at traffic lights etc. It cuts out.
Now for the confusing part......
I pushed the stereo back properly and the stereo stopped working. The dashboard clock also went out?!?!? The central locking has given up too. If I unlock it from the drivers side, only that door opens. I can get in, shut the door, start the engine. Then, if I open the drivers door all the doors will then unlock.

I'm really confused and can't figure out what I've done??
