What's the difference between the ES, GTZ, and whatever models are available to the Galant?

 

I believe the ES has a 4 cylinder, while the GTZ has a 6 cylinder. Basically, the galant has just two engines, and the lower models get the four cylinder, upper models get the six. Between the models with the same engines, there are only differences in trim and accessories. Like, the more letters, the more stuff it comes with! There's no different suspension or bodywork between them, so it's pretty much no major difference except engines.

Actually there is a differnence in suspension between the ES and GTZ. The GTZ has a more stiffer suspension then the ES with a bit shorter springs. Also the GTZ also has side skirts.

 

I'm proved wrong once again, well twice again.....that's bad for Mod.....

 

Don't trip. I didn't know the side skirt thing until a couple of months ago. Where had a Team meet and where staring at my boys GTZ and my boys ES. Then I noticed that the GTZ had little bitty side skirts. lol

lol Besides where talking Galant's here. Where not even considered DSM and not a whole lot of people tune them. If our damn engines where turned 180 we would be getting so much more love from you guys.

Here is the break down. I will be missing a whole lot but where just be general here....

1999-2003 Mitsubishi Galant. *8th Generation*
DE: Lowest model for the 8G Galant. Will always have those black side molding. I4 4G64 engine. Ugly Corrola style seating. Plain black interior pieces and a few other cosmetic differnce.
ES: 4G64 Engine. Color matched side mouldings. Wood Grain interior. Upgraded seating.
ES: 6G72 Engine. Color matched side mouldings. Wood Grain interior. May have the Infinity Stereo upgrade and all wheel disc brakes.
GTZ: 6G72 Engine. Color matched side mouldings. CF twist interior pieces. Leather seats. Infinity Stereo upgrade. Sport Suspension. All wheel disc brakes.

Thats all I can think of right now.
