Default Electrical issues 01 eclipse GS

Hey I have an 01 GS eclipse. My dash light went out but my brights, turn signals still show up and stuff, just the light behind it is out. Also my passenger side running lights dont work, but when I brake, it lights up. I installed new headlights and while it was on, two live wires touched and shorted the headlight out. I took them out, put in my old ones. (didnt like the news anyways) I also tried to install HIDs as well, but it seemed as though I was losing power from my headlights when I put two HIDs in. I would really like to know, how in the world did my brake light and running light, and my dash light stopped working. I replaced one bulb in the back, still didnt light up. I checked all the fuses, they are fine, but i was wondering if there were inline fuses that I dont know about that may have gone off? Please let me know. I've been pulled over 4 times regarding this problem! Don't know what exactly to look for, thank you!

I cant say for sure but if you look at a wiring diagrm you should find fueable links! On modern car thay look sorta like relays! On the 98 Eclipe i'm looking at thay are located under the hood in a fuse box!

Search the net!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
