Sometimes that is what FWD cars are like under power. Does it do it under moderate acceleration too?

I believe I know exactly what you are describing.

BUSHING, TIE ROD, BALL JOINT PROBLEMS.

my stock rims was 13 inch and put a after rims 14 and my 1999 mirage started to shake around 65 mph.

i did wheel alignment and camber etc etc where all red. meaning it is bad.

the guy who did my alignment said I have to replace all the bushing ball joint, tie rod etc etc so it will drive New again with about $2,000 to spent and i TOLD him NO THANKS traded in with my 08 Lancer last year I have 40,800 miles on it WITHNO PROBLEMS only the driver.

knock on wood. All I need is brake pads, rotors, alignment and minor tune up

I love my Mitsu Lancer 08
