I just have to ask...
the loss of power doesnt change based on the level with which you have the AC on. Meaning if you have it on FULL BLAST or Level 1 you will lose the same power. So turning it on LIGHTLY and cracking a window doesnt help. The loss of power is caused by the AC Compressor turning on and pulling harder on that AC accessory belt. The compressor kicks on NO MATTER HOW HIGH THE AC IS ON. Its on so its on. There is a SIGNIFICANT power loss in the 3gen Eclipse NA. I had a 2000 RS 5 spd, and the way I combatted that power loss...ADD MORE POWER!
Turbo baby!! haha. But no seriously, get a good CAI, header, exhaust and it will be fine.

I stalled my Evo a couple times off the line when I turned my A/C the first couple of time this summer! I have seen a kit on the web that turns of your A/C when you're at WOT but is it really worth it if you can just turn it off with a button.
