without an alternator, why would I drive to a shop and do an oil change? cuz I cant. I would stall every time the car stopped until the battery dies completely.

I am gonna say o2 sensor.

And sry there is no excuse for not getting your oil changed when its already at the shop.

It does what it sounds, measure the amount of oxygen in the exhaust.

alright i was talkin with engineer about this in a different thread, but my flex pipe is letting air out and it shouldnt be. could that contribute to the lower gas mileage?

Good fully synthetic oil will help you save on gas and maintenance in a long term. Get AMSOIL oil and filterextended service combination.
Theyhave 25k mile oils and filters in the product line. It is absolutely the best you can get.
Enquire about at their web page for your type of car. You initially pay higher price but save a lot later.
Gotta work some exta hours to help you pay for this stuff.
