Default Is it possible??

Alright so I went over to Japan last year, my cousin invited me because he works for Honda over there and he wanted me to come over and visit, he let me drive the Honda NSX..... it was amazing that's afterI got used to the right sided driving lol, anyways i was on my way to his house and saw an Evo 5.... I fell in love, to me the Evo 5 looks so much better than any other car on the market and yes even the evo 8... don't anyone freak out lol it's just an opinion. anyways my question: Does anyone know if it's possible to get an Evo 5 over here??? I know they are made specifically over sea's and america didn't get them shipped over. but sometimes a few slip through the cracks some how and a few people get their hands onsome over sea's cars. specifically my friends RHD MR2... anyways thanks for the time of reading this and hope i get some feed back. thanks all, later.

It would be wise to check with your local DMV to find out what inspections, changes andpaper work you would need to get an EVO 5 to the U.S. You may not have that hard of time depending on what state you live in, some states require less than others. There are some import websites that will find your car from Japan and ship it over here butit is hideously expensive, you may want to call some of these places and talk to some of their customers if possible. If you are not paying for this car up front, you may wantto also ask about bank loans and insurance for these type of cars.
Good Luck

basically i think the way people "slip though the cracks" is that the car is shipped in parts and then re-assembled here and then its labeled as a different type of car, i cant think of the name right now. But thats generally how they work it.

look at japan-partner.com, its a used/salvage importer. but i havent seen any evo's available... some gtr's though. and the evo 5 and evo 6 are the most coveted of all so chances of gettin one are slim, even if you find one for sale be readyto shell out major
cashfor it.

my advice is get an evo 8 and change it to look like a 5. it would be far more cost efective and you will get a car with less miles and better options too.

where have you found somebody to bring it over for 1 or 2k???? 1 if somebody told you that i'm gonna have to pull the b.s. card. 2 if overseas does export a car over here they have to de-tune it to US regulations first. 3 it is literaly impossible to legally drive one of those overe here, don't ask me why, i don't know but something to do w/ the vins and coming from another country the US won't legalize that car on the street. the local shop guy has an 02' skyline limited special edition GTR that he got and brought over here, total pricetag from what he tells ppl is about 98k.
