I have a '97 Eclipse. I want to remove the radio antenna so I can put a weather protective cover over the car. Do I just loosen the nut or part holding it on and it will unscrew and comeout? Are there any wires attached to the antenna? Is that all there isto it?

What model of '97 Eclipse do you have?? I had a '97 Spyder GS and the antenna was a power antenna. My '99 GS-T also has a power antenna. Are you sure yours isn't power??

 

if it's not power than you should just be able to unscrew it
