Default Reverse camera voltage

Hi,

First time posting on this forum. I have a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander GT, North American / Canadian version. I have recently installed an Android head unit, mainly to get Apple CarPlay. The OEM head unit was a MMCS. The vehicle had navigation and an OEM reverse camera. Everything works, with the Android head unit, apart from the reverse camera. Would you be able to tell me if the OEM reverse camera is 6 volts? If it is I guess I would need to do some modifications to the wiring for it to work.

Regards,

For anyone with a similar issue, the OEM camera worked with a retention adapter. A lot of vehicles require between 6 and 6.5 volts for the OEM camera. A retention adapter steps down the voltage to allow it to work.
